My Go-To Spring Essentials

Final 1.JPG

Although spring has been here for a little over a month now, Chicago finally got its first hint of warmth and sun the other day, and I couldn't have been happier! I knew I had to take advantage of the gust of spring weather, so I put this look together to highlight what my essentials for spring are. I had so much fun pairing these fun, vibrant pieces together, so I hope you enjoy! All items are linked within this post and at the end for easy shopping. :)

High-Waisted Jeans

Hallelujah! The perfect pair of high-waisted jeans. They make your legs look a mile long and are so flattering to the waist. This pair comes in 4 other colors, but I'm always a sucker for blue denim, as they are extremely versatile, so I went with these. They fit true to size and are super stretchy/comfortable. They are now one of my favorite pairs in my closet. I can't wait wear these all summer long!

Camo Tee

Everyone needs a camo tee in their closet, am I right? I think over the last year it has become such a staple to own this pattern as it goes with just about anything; jeans, leggings, tights, skirts, dress it up, dress it down, or even simply wear it to bed. I snagged this one at Target for under $15! STYLE TIP: Tuck your shirt only in the front for a fun, flirty look. It elevates your outfit instantly.

Oh-So-Fabulous Accessories

Accessorize, accessorize, accessorize! This has been one of my favorite things to do when styling my everyday outfits lately. Spring/summer colors are so fun to work with because vibrant colors, patterns, and textures are everywhere!

This quilted handbag is by far one of my favorite purses I have ever owned. It's such a statement piece without being too overstated. You can wear it as a clutch or over-the-shoulder for an easy, on-the-go satchel. Don't be afraid to mix with prints and patterns these upcoming seasons; BOLD is all the rage. The original bag on Free People's website is sold out, so I've linked the same one from a different site here.

Speaking of bold, how about these fun earrings? I got them at Francesca's over winter break and I am obsessed! Similar ones are linked here

Block-Heeled Sandals

I am always on the hunt for a good summer shoe and when I found these at Apricot Lane, one of my favorite boutiques, I had to grab them! The studded detail and over-sized buckle are a perfect touch to such a simple design. You can wear them for date night, girls' night, brunch, church, or even just a day of shopping all because of the versatility and comfort. You can find *super* similar ones here from the same boutique and on sale for $20!

I hope you are enjoying the weather wherever you are reading this from! Let this post give you some inspiration when styling your next outfit. Be bold, be confident, be YOU.

With that, I hope you have a fabulous start to your week!

Until next time, xx
